Slimbridge WWT

Hello,

Yesterday I spent all day birding in Gloucestershire. At first we spent looking at two Penduline Tits in a lay by which showed well but took a while to find...

Penduline Tits

We then visited Slimbridge as Forest of Dean was too foggy for Goshawks but at Slimbridge there were a large selection of wild and captive birds on show. The captive birds were a learning curve to help me identify them if I did ever see them in the wild. However wild birds on show were at least one Scaup, fifty-four White Fronted Geese, hundreds of Barnacle Geese, Lapwing and Golden Plover, around a hundred Black Tailed Godwits, a Ruff, a Bar Tailed Godwit, two Peregrines, seven Cranes and quite a few Bewick Swans.

Regards,

Jacob
